It's the thing you'd never expect to like or need, but once you have one, you wonder why you didn't have it in the first place: A spoon rest. With an extra long handle for your long handled utensils!
This one here is painted with a sky blue underglaze; the creamy white you see is the natural clay body color under the clear glaze. The Chicago star was screen printed using red overglaze and fired onto the ware.
- Measurements are: 4.75" in diameter at the top, by 10.75" in length.
- Weight is a wee bit over one pound.
- Dishwasher safe, as well as food safe & microwave safe.
★ Handmade completely from scratch, so you are getting a lovely fresh piece!
All of the ware from Circa Ceramics is made from scratch in Chicago using porcelain clay, and finished using our signature glazes and overglazes (which are fired into the glaze - they're lead-free + hand screenprinted + indelible!) Their logo is on the bottom so you know who made it and where it hails from :)
Nancy and Andy make up Circa Ceramics. They found a neat little studio space in the Ravenswood Industrial Corridor in Chicago (a mile or so west of Wrigley Field) in a building called The Window Factory. They have been making ware there since 2001, and occasionally show their work at select fairs and fests. It may sound a bit bland, but they love what we do, and they hope you love what comes out of that!
